I like to think that, much like the old idea that you get chocolate milk by feeding chocolate to a cow, that these cows have had chocolate and rum fed to them. The question is if the use of "Tippy" is in place of "Tipsy" for any particular reason. I've heard stories about people tipping cows, but I suspect it's just an urban legend. Maybe there's already a Tipsy Cow Distillery.
You know what? Finally, one of these looks like proper chocolate milk. I mean, it could be darker, but I'm not going to split hairs here. This is just about perfect, and it reminds me of the chocolate milk I would sometimes get in the little cardboard container when I was but a wee lad. I knew I was being nearly scandalous by not getting the regular milk as directed, but the chocolate was so good! Well, it smells very similar to a Bailey's Irish Cream and alcohol with a touch of chocolate.
First sip is, honestly, a melted chocolate shake. It tastes so much like one (with alcohol, don't get me wrong) that I feel like I should be drinking with a straw, and I should possibly have stuck this in the freezer before trying it. I didn't, though, and I'm liking the chocolate and vanilla creaminess. I'll have to check back in with you later tonight.
<Time passes>
Honestly, it's pretty darn good. I didn't know how the rum would differ from the whiskey that most of the other hard creams use, and it doesn't seem like it changes it that much. With all the other flavors piled on top of each other, the rum is kind of lost in the mix, and that's fine for what this is. It's only pushing 14% ABV, so the idea is to not really highlight the alcohol. And this does that fine.
