Well, it's pink. I have to give it that. The Noca excuse for a hard lemonade couldn't manage to pull off pink for the pink lemonade, so it's not the given that you might expect. This is where the bar has been lowered to, folks.

It should smell like lemonade, and a bit of it does, but it mostly smells like alcohol. It is about now that I point out that TV always says vodka has no smell, and I assert that it is one of the many things TV has lied to us about.
First sip is surprisingly good. It has the alcohol, but it appears the 30% ABV isn't enough to glaze over the lemonade-ness of the beverage. That said, it bites pretty hard on the back end. I'll admit to having low expectations for this drink in the first place. This is significantly better than the Frïs pink lemonade (again, it wasn't pink). I would have probably expected Mike's to have the one to beat, but it isn't. I think, at least for now, this might be the one to beat, and that's actually kind of sad.
Bottom Line: Maybe hard pink lemonades shouldn't exist.
