Now this actually says it's a pink lemonade. Looking at the bottle, it looks to have a more blue tinge. I remember looking up with the actual difference is between a lemonade and a pink lemonade, and it is the color and slightly more sweetness. I am unsure as to why it even exists (although I'd love to see Monster come back out with the Pink Lemonade Rehab they used to have). Blue or pink, I'm trying this either way.
Well, it isn't blue once you pour it. Much like the Blue Flame moonshine I had, they have tricked me by adding a blue hue to the bottle. The jokes on them, though, as it still isn't pink. It's just kind of clear and dull. How hard would it have been to give this a few drops of red food coloring and call it pink? The aroma is harsh lemonade. Once again, I don't know if I would call it harsh pink lemonade, but it has a lot of alcohol and really reminds me of the Deep Eddy lemon vodka that was also 35% ABV and eventually grew on me.
First sip is quite noticeable alcohol, but it doesn't have the moonshine burn. I guess that's kind of what vodka brings you. Instead, there is the pink lemonade - it's a little too sweet, but it won't likely get cloying at the rate I'm going to continue to sip it. The vapor coming off of the drink right before I sip is probably doing most of the lifting when it comes to conveying that this is an adult beverage. The rest has alcohol, but the lemon and sugar stands up to it.
Continuing to sip reveals I was wrong - the cloying starts to get to me while the alcohol starts to make its punch more well known. It's not getting better as I sip, unlike the Deep Eddy vodka. Instead, it's fading and taking its rating with it.
