The thing about Dunkin' is that it used to be just donuts, right? Then, they made some deal with Green Mountain Coffee, and they were suddenly the Starbucks competitor that wasn't as snooty. Then, they decided to shorten their name from Dunkin' Donuts to just Dunkin'. Now, they are doing a hard iced tea? I assume at some point they produced a regular tea. So, this would be the hard version of that, but this has some lemon and is only slightly sweet.
Well, it looks like a canned tea. At this point, I'm going to have to stop comparing it to the rather weak tea with lots of lemonade that I like to drink, or I will always complain that these are too dark. It doesn't have carbonation, so it's on the right path to be a good beverage. It doesn't smell like particularly good tea. There's some kind of chemical smell to it that I can't put my finger on.
First sip is not hiding the alcohol so much as just existing alongside it with a tea that matches their description - slightly sweet. It has a little lemon in it, too. Is it good? Not really, but I can't say it's terrible. It's like a movie you can have on in the background that is just fine, so long as you're not paying too much attention to the poor editing and plot holes. That means this may not survive the swig.
Tip-in is lemon, sugar, tea, and the presence of alcohol. So, it starts with all the flavors you might expect. The middle grows into a mass where the alcohol rides on top, and everything else gets muted. The finish is a bit of that chemical smell, but the taste just before the trail off is slightly sweet tea and alcohol.
