This is the last in the four pack, and I fully expect that this won't be good. Realistically, I should have started with this plain-Jane version of the lemonade to understand what the base tasted like before they started adding other flavors. Maybe, in a different timeline, I actually went that direction. Instead, I'm going to close out with the base for what they created the other subpar beverages from. One thing I didn't comment on was that it says in prominent lettering that it was made with real fruit juice. The smaller prints along the bottom indicate that it is less than 1%. Doesn't seem like something to be so wildly excited about.
The beverage looks the same as the others. The aroma is significantly more docile than the others. The subdued scent of lemonade is about what I was expecting, but it isn't really enough. Honestly, this whole process has really made me question whether or not I should just be drinking Mike's hard lemonade and disabusing myself of the notion that a hard seltzer is somehow better for you than some other kind of alcoholic beverage.First sip is significantly worse than its stable mates. I think we have found the problem with all of these beverages. They aren't good, and it's because they're based on a beverage that isn't good. It would be like if Left Hand brewing had produced a bad milk stout in the first place, and then they started making derivations of that. You just can't expect a good beverage from bad ingredients.
I'm not going to bother dissecting this in a gulp. This isn't good, and no good is going to come from it.
Bottom Line: Not the source of all evil, but bad to its core.
