The picture doesn't capture the reverse cascade that this beer is bringing. It's a luscious, dense head of teeny-tiny little bubbles on top of that hazy orange-gold beer. When I popped the top, I thought it was going to overflow, but the extra pressure inside was just to allow the beer to store the nitrogen (it's a big can, but it's only 13.65 fluid ounces). The aroma it has is orange, vanilla, and sweetness.First sip is not an orange push pop. It definitely has a bunch of orange, but it has grains (milled and coarse) backing it pretty solidly. The bright orange is also vanilla, but the sweetness and the orange are all but gone by the time the grains suction it up at the end. Nope, a sip won't do.
Tip-in is smooth nitrogen caress with orange spritz, sweetness, cream, and joy. The middle flows into more orange, more agave sweetness, and grains start to join the party. The finish is a highlight of grains; the orange and vanilla flow down off of them to leave almost nothing but the grains as a dryness overtakes the sweetness.
Bottom Line: When I'm not in the mood for soda, but I'm not in the mood for beer, this would slot in pretty well.
