It's not my birthday. I don't even like cake. So, is this going to have a third strike when I admit that I don't think there is an actual flavor that is specific to birthday cake? As a youth, I had many cakes at many parties, and I don't know that they usually tasted the same. Some chocolate, some vanilla, the occasional marbled or something... no consistent flavor. Well, maybe this will have one.
It might be a little more pink than the other creams have been, so there's a change. The aroma is sweet, but I don't know that I would associate it with a cake of any kind. I don't even smell the sprinkles. Well, it smells good enough, but I get the impression of a cookie jar at grandma's house that has been half filled with an assortment of cookies that have slowly gone stale.
First sip doesn't match the low hopes I had in the first place. The taste just seems off, despite the sweetness and creaminess. I usually wait it out and tell you what the cream is like after sipping it a while, but I don't want to. I don't like this, but at least I only got the small jar.
