The label definitely gives me the vibes of a boutique little brewery with guys who have meticulously preened beards and like to add honey and flowers to their beer. Maybe they'll just start off with the flowers and honey. Maybe they can replace hops with flowers. I mean, what is a hop if not a flower? The rain and the label have put me in a mood. I hope the flavor can pull me out.
The honey orange beer has a head large enough that I didn't quite pour all of the beverage from the can. The aroma is delightfully citrus fruits with a pinch of tropics. It smells really good, and I'm looking forward to diving in to the point that I forget what I usually talk about in this paragraph. Either way, I'm done and moving on to the sipping.
First sip is fantastic. It has a reverse Kentucky Hug, as a cool sensation flows down my throat and into my belly. The fruits dazzle with both citrus and tropical flavors, and if they had called this a juicy IPA, I would probably still complain, but I wouldn't necessarily say that they were wrong. It is without the bitter bite at the end, and it features some pretty good fruits.
Tip-in is bitter and sweet with orange, grapefruit, tangerine, and starfruit. That's... a lot to pack into the tip-in. The middle stretches out with a deceptive smoothness and all the fruits dancing in unison. The finish is bitter, but it isn't overwhelming, and it highlights the fruits spectacularly before a bitter and somewhat fruity trail off.
