This is the last of the four pack. I want to once again thank my brother for giving me the chance to try this strange beverage, and these were all not without upsides. That said, I'm looking forward to going back to beer. I think I wasted a little too much time on seltzers and refreshers and whatever else you want to call them, and I need to go back to the thing that I love the most (as far as beverages are concerned) and what caused me to create this blog in the first place.
I'm not sure if I mentioned, but all of the previous beverages have been tinted but clear. It's kind of what I expect from something that is labeled as simply a refresher, so I may not have bothered to comment. I'm going to comment on this one. This one seemed like it was going to be orange tinted and clear whenever I first started pouring, but then a giant cloud of orange debris surged from the bottom of the can and dumped into the beverage. It would be one thing if I thought that this was supposed to remain suspended, but after a short period of time, the little chunks have all sunk to the bottom. I suppose there's some still hanging around in the middle. I proactively put ice in my glass this time around, and the bits are gluing themselves to the sides of the ice in a very unpleasant way. Oh, and the aroma is mango and passionfruit. It's not particularly appetizing.
First sip proves my instincts correct. I do not like it from the get-go, and I'm going to stop drinking it now. I'm okay with mango-flavored beers, and I have certainly had beer that had passionfruit infused into the hops. Nevertheless, the combination of these two flavors in this spiked refresher is simply not something that I'm ever going to find palatable. It's not good, and I don't like it.
