Look, I'm just along for the ride at this point. This is a beer blog. Why am I going over all of these non-beers lately? Cocktails? Well, it's here in front of me, and I'm just going to soldier on. After all, I like strawberry as a flavor, and that is what this is supposed to have.
The very red beverage is fairly watery at the edges, and I'm not sure what to make of that. Is it supposed to look like that? Is it not supposed to look like that? Maybe I just haven't had enough margaritas in my life to know. For that matter, does this even contain the same tequila that I would normally find in a margarita? Are most margaritas 15% ABV? These are the kinds of things I just don't know, and I'm not going to look it up. The aroma is all kinds of strawberry.
First sip isn't bad, but it's a very artificial flavor of strawberry, and I think I taste that tequila coming through pretty strong. Maybe this would be better with a bunch of shredded ice like they serve in fancy (and also not fancy) restaurants. Yes, I think texture would add to this beverage significantly as would a whole lot more cold. I kept this in the refrigerator for several days, so it should be chilled, but I don't think this is cold enough.
Subsequent sips confirm that this should probably be colder. The tequila is really seeping through, and I'm not really a massive fan of the taste of tequila in the first place. As a result, the strawberries not really overcoming anything. The center of the beverage seems a bit watery, and adding ice to the already existing water in this might do bad things. Maybe if I cut up some real strawberries and mixed in some crushed ice, this would be an okay beverage, but that's more work for me, and I have beer in the fridge.
