This one is going to be completely different than the other two. The other two were chocolate or sweet in flavor, and this one is going to be, reportedly, pineapple and jalapeño. I don't know what this kind of cocktail even tastes like. Would be good? Well, the other two were pretty decent. If this goes well, I may go ahead and pick up a few more of the ones that I passed over when I grabbed these three. There are quite a few different flavors to pick from, and there are actually very large containers that are, presumably, for large gatherings of people. These are all engineered to 15% ABV, so I don't think I want to go drinking giant bottles of it.
The look of the beverage makes me believe that it was intended to be imbibed directly from the container. This doesn't look particularly good. It looks like dirty dishwater. It's not nearly as viscous as the other beverages, and it leaves no weepers on the sides when it is sloshed about with gusto. I can barely pick up either pineapple or jalapeño in the aroma. It actually smells sweet and floral with lime. There is a juice to it, and scrutinizing it further leads me to believe it's pineapple juice, but it's not in your face.
First sip is delicious. I think all three of these have been very good right from the start, and their flaws have only been teased out with further sips. Obviously, with the first one, it was entirely my mistake for trying to gulp. Nevertheless, I still think someone who is inclined to pick up a BuzzBallz is the kind of person who will probably try and gulp. The pineapple mixes well with the jalapeño, and the jalapeño is giving it just enough spice to warm it up a bit. Nevertheless, the sweetness from the pineapple juice is undeniable.
Subsequent sips reveal the pineapple to be a little flat as it first starts, as if it is pineapple husk that somehow made it into the beverage. That doesn't last very long, and then the pineapple surges with lime and sweetness before the jalapeño kicks up the peppers a notch. The jalapeño spiciness, more than it's flavor, hang on as the pineapple relinquishes control to sweetness as the drink fades from memory and from the mouth.
Bottom Line: Surprisingly, probably the best of the bunch so far.
