I suspect I was meant to drink this directly from the container. Further, if I were to pour it into a glass, I should probably not have dumped the entire thing in. I will probably fix that in the next BuzzBallz review I do. In the interim, I have to voice concern over this purchase. It claims to use premium vodka, and I suppose there's nothing wrong with that. I still have yet to find a vodka that I find particularly inviting, but that's just me getting used to vodka, I suppose. The second ingredient it lists is "other than standard orange wine with cream ." What the actual hell does that mean? I guess I have committed myself to finding out. Wait. I just noticed that the last ingredient is "natural cookie flavors and certified color." Who certified color? What does it mean to me?
The beverage pours like a very dark chocolate milk. This is the kind of chocolate milk that you would buy in a grocery store that was premixed. It might even be a little darker than that. It puts me in mind of the Mozart chocolate liqueur that I tried once and did not particularly like because it was too thick. I imagine, since this is supposed to be something college kids drink to get plastered, that this will not have that same feeling. It may have a different feeling based on the 15% ABV. It can be hard to cover up all that alcohol. The aroma is shockingly good. It says cookie on the ball, and cookie is what it smells like. I'm genuinely surprised that it smells so good, and I'm suddenly looking forward to this beverage.
First sip is very good. It follows the nose with lots of cookie. It is more chocolate on the front end, and it's more baked cookie dough on the backend, but it taste really good. It seems kind of like a cross between a chocolate chip cookie and possibly a snickerdoodle. I get some of the spices that indicate that it might be cinnamon, and the overall taste is good. I don't know what more to say other than I can't do a full swig. Wait a minute. I suspect this thing is actually designed for a full swig. I'm tossing caution to the wind.
Tip-in is hazelnut and cinnamon cookie with a drizzle of dark chocolate. The middle gets bad really quick; I think I may have been wrong when I said that this had been intended to be gulped. The finish is more cookie, but it's cloying and way too sweet.
Bottom Line: Sip it.
