The yellow beer has a slight haze to it and produces a fantastic head of tight, white bubbles that is patchy, but it's not that sticky, so there will only be a bit of lacing. The aroma is tropical fruits over some pine and there might even be a hint of flowers in there. It smells great, and it looks pretty darn good, too. No complaints so far.
First sip is not what I needed. The tropical fruits are absolutely lost behind the cavalcade of pine that is mixed harshly with flowers. The result is that even the fruits have resigned and turned into peels and pits. This isn't easy drinking, it isn't particularly inviting, and it isn't what I signed on for. It's a shame. I was really looking forward to this.
Tip-in is moderate carbonation burn with gentle flowers, subtle pine, and just a hint of tropical fruits. The middle isn't the obnoxious assault that I expected, but it has too much pine and is still unsettled. The finish is where insanity descends and the world of not good takes over.
Bottom Line: Colossal disappointment.
