This is the latest in my line of "Which Alcohol Have They Added To This?" series. Jack Daniel's is known for whiskey. Do they make something else? I genuinely don't know, but I would guess they aren't just adding whiskey to fruit punch for this. What are they adding? Don't ask. It's like walking up to a bar and saying, "Give me a mixed drink, but mix it with whatever you feel like. Also, make it fruity."
The beverage is suitably the color of punch that you would see in a giant bowl at a party where no one really wants to drink the punch until someone spikes it. The ice cubes float on top, and the ladle is really not at the right angle to properly fill the flimsy disposable cups. This has a bit of carbonation, but it wasn't even on the verge of producing a head. The aroma is berries from the punch and very little else. At 4.8% ABV, it has a lot of room to hide the manageable alcohol.First sip is almost exactly what you would expect a fruit punch in that giant bowl to taste like if they had also added Sprite or 7-up to the bowl. Did someone spike it? Well, Barry said someone did, but I'm not tasting any alcohol in it, and after like five cups, I am not going to feel any effects and I'll be peeing too much to enjoy the party.
Tip-in is effervescent berries with a little bit of citrus under it. The middle is sweet fruit punch - there isn't much more to tell you. I don't normally like punch very much, but this is better than average. The finish is the traditional fruit punch finish with sweetness taking me into the trail off.
Bottom Line: Good.
