Pontoon "Crushing Waves" Weisse

A first beer again - I love to get fresh beers from fresh breweries! If I remember correctly, Weisse means white, but it's been a while since I had a beer in this category. I think this is a wheat ale that is similar to a white, and I very much like those, so this is going to be a big hit all around, right? Let's validate.

The golden beer is very clear, and the white head sprouts out pretty aggressively. In fact, it's too much. This pour in the picture took two different pauses, and I was gentle. Some beers are like that, though, and it doesn't make they'll taste bad. The aroma is fruit, grains, and it smells a bit tart. It's not overly inviting, but it's not turning me off.

First sip is ... hey! I remember why I don't buy these! This is a disgusting sour beer! It's been so long since I accidentally came across one that I forgot everything about it. Now I remember! This is a travesty and it needs to burn in a fire!

Bottom Line: Bad
