The copper colored beer has an off white foam of medium to tiny bubbles. The bubbles grip the sides, but they're not going to be leaving lacing anytime soon. The aroma is light citrus and bread with some honey and pine in reserve. As a pale ale instead of a an IPA, like I've been drinking a lot of lately, this is a much more sedate presentation, and I'm kind of in a relaxed mood right now, so this'll fit in perfectly.
First sip is downright excellent. It has just enough honey and bread malts backing up the spritz of lemon, orange, and tangerine that the beverage gives a good helping of flavor while not overwhelming anything. After the beer is gone, there is a bit too much bitterness left on the tongue, but sometimes that's the price you pay. As prices go, it's not that much to ask for.
Tip-in is moderate carbonation burn with bread, honey, and caramel making a place for the sprits of orange and lemon to lay on. The middle rises with ferocious carbonation swell accompanied by a muting of all the flavors that were just about perfect in the tip-in. The finish is pine, flowers, and bitterness that overwhelms any other experience.
Bottom Line: Sip it, and you'll be happy.
