I don't know why I'm surprised, but first sip is very smooth. Decadent knows their way around these kinds of strange beers, and they know not to assault the tastebuds with too much acid or a high concentration of carbonation. Instead, this beer goes down very smoothly with the tangerine and orange heading the race and grapefruit, mango, star fruit, and a kind of cracker malt. There is a bitterness that lingers once the beer is gone from the mouth, but it's not overly unpleasant.
Tip-in is mild carbonation tingle with orange definitely up front and tangerine backing it up. The middle cranks up the carbonation a bit while the orange and tangerine are met with the mango, star fruit, grapefruit, and that malt that now tastes a bit more like a biscuit. The finish is a wave of fruit rind before the bitterness swells up and drops off precipitously.
Bottom Line: Not the best of their dessert beers, but this will certainly do in a pinch.
