The partially cloudy beer has some white bits that fall gracefully to the bottom of the glass after being poured. The off-white head leaves occasional lacing as it goes down to a uneven covering of small bubbles across the top of the beer and a very thick ring around the sides of the glass. The aroma is citrus and tropical fruits, but they don't seem to be to aggressive. They clearly let you know what flavors you should be prepared for, but they're not hitting you over the head with it to the point that it seems to be turning acidic.
First sip is crisp, but it's laying down a funk on the backend. I wasn't really expecting a funk from something that was also crisp. The acid that I was worried about is definitely there, but it isn't overbearing. Instead, the crispness is the defining factor with the citrus and mostly tropical fruits lending flavor to that sensation. I'd say it's an okay sipping beer.
Tip-in is light carbonation tingle with tangerine, orange, and plum at the forefront. The middle turns up the carbonation a little bit, and the overall sensation is suddenly very solid; the fruits get backed up with some grapefruit and watermelon while a light cracker malt lends some stability to the beverage. The finish is crisp with the fruit acid suddenly hitting a spike and falling off before a somewhat musty trail off.
Bottom Line: The can says crisp and loud, and I don't disagree with that.
