This has a bunch of kitties on it. Normally, kittens would make my nose run and my eyes water. In this case, I sent a picture of the can to my buddy, Frogman, so he could compare the cat pictures with a new rescue cat that he adopted. He seemed pleased, and we shall see how pleasing this beer will be for me.

The slightly hazy, gold beer has quite the conspicuous head on it. It's filled with an even mix of bubble sizes, and a bed of medium to small bubbles completely covers the top when all is said and done. There is scattered lacing on the sides of the glass, and that's just fine. The aroma has a definite funky musk going on, and I'm guessing that is coming from the yeast. Other smells are... nope, just the funky yeast.
First sip is definitely funky, but it's not as overwhelming as the aroma made me think it was going to be. Instead, the funky yeast is tamed quite a bit by a caramel malt, but I'm not getting any hops at all. Grains are where the hops would be, and they are light and wheaty against the yeast funk.
Tip-in is wheat with the funky yeast starting a bit sour. The middle is a slow carbonation burn coming up to meet a peaceful grain wind while the yeast remains the defining characteristic. The finish is a rise of the funky must of yeast before a slightly sour trail-off.
Bottom Line: Gets a little better when it acquires a bit of warmth.
