First sip is interesting. It has more of the citrus and lemons with apricot than I ever expected, and the musty is there, but it has the upturn of funk that merges nicely with the grains. The dough isn't really there in the sip, and that's fine. The sip is just enough flavor for the beer. But a swig requires more.
Tip-in is a bit watery, but it has tartness with lemons and a bit of that dough. The middle swings by with a very gentle, mild wave of grains with just the slightest mist of lemons above it; this may be a bit watery, but it's unexpectedly calm in the middle of all of this. The finish is the opposite of the middle with sudden drop of dough and grains with lemons, tangerines, and apricot crashing down on tartness.
Bottom Line: A spark of genius, but only a spark.
