I don't know if I'm supposed to also eat dinner tonight, as this beer specifically says it's a dinner for one. Am I eating alone? Well, I'm drinking alone, so I think that's good enough. So far, this is only the second beer from
Monday Night I'll have in my pages, but I have a few more on deck. Let's not concern ourselves with the future - let's live in the now!

I've only seen really hazy beers that use spelt. This one is a lot clearer than those, and it is a very light colored beer. I'm going to call this a peppercorn yellow with a white head. Guess what? I got some lacing! I do love it when the bubbles leave their little trails on the sides of the glass. The aroma is funk, and I also seem to have fruits and caramel malt.
First sip is very restrained fruits with a gentle bready caramel backup. The funk just doesn't seem to exist past the smell. Instead, the fruit is properly sweet, but it's really tamped down quite a bit to make the beer crisp and smooth compared to your average
IPA.
Tip-in is mild carbonation tingle with mango, orange, tangerine, and grapefruit all getting mellow by the pool. The middle brings in a heightened carbonation as the bread and caramel malt asserts itself. Meanwhile, the sweet in the beginning starts to get a bit tangy. The finish is a bit dry before it mellows out a bit leaving grains for the trail-off.
Bottom Line: A perfectly good beer.
