First sip is really, really weak. There's enough malt to give it a bit of an aftertaste, and there is enough carbonation to sting the tongue a little bit, but it has so little taste that it's not making an impression at all. I guess mild disappointment is an impression, but it's not one that is going to last very long. Okay, it's an American beer, and I'm going to suck it back like a steel worker getting off a 12 hour shift.
Tip-in is tasteless with a large and unpleasant hit of carbonation that smacks the whole mouth and relentlessly floods the tastebuds with spiky nothing. The middle continues the onslaught of carbonation, but some taste finally waddles through. It's grainy, sweet malt with corn and a kind of oily taste around the edges. The finish finally overcomes the carbonation with a kind of grassy hops while continuing the grainy malt through the rest of the taste. It's all kind of weak and not all that great. Pretty much what I've come to expect from domestic lagers.
