A die-hard lesbian is having a bit of romantic troubles when she has a few too many drinks at a party where she runs into a guy who clearly has bad things on his mind. Now, we never see the guy's face, but we understand that he's all about deception and, well, rufies.
Najarra Townsend is the aforementioned lesbian, and she plays the role well enough, but there are some really, really bad decisions made by her character. The thing is, there are some truly epic bad decisions made by a lot of different characters in this movie. I could understand if they had some emotional reasons for making these choices, but they seem to make them for no good reason at all.
"Well, Tim, they are just stupid," you might say.
That one guy is a doctor, dammit! He gets a patient complaining of excessive vaginal bleeding, a rash that is clearly not a rash, vomiting blood, and all sorts of other terrible things, and he doesn't A) call for an ambulance, B) call the CDC, D) perform a pelvic exam (he is a gynecologist), or C) run simple bloodwork.
"It's a movie, they have to make it interesting."
Look, you're starting to annoy me with this. Things aren't interesting just because you have everyone in the cast make wild and unsubstantiated decisions that just make the story drag out longer instead of on any sort of logical course. Instead, you just start to hope that everyone in the movie dies a horrible, slow death for the stupid decisions they are all making.
Her mother, her best friend, her girlfriend, her male friend, her boss, and pretty much anyone I'm forgetting were bad characters played by bad actors. Her girlfriend in particular was a pretty horrendous actress. She was supposed to be a real bitch, but she didn't pull it off well. She seemed bored with the role, and I can't say I blame her, but she took the job, so put in a bit of effort, will you?
