First sip is surprisingly good. It's a lot sweeter than most of the previous ciders I've had. It's got a slight tart taste at the end, and it reminds me of just sinking my teeth in a green apple more than any of the others I've had, either.
I'm going to give this a swig.
Tip-in is nothing but apple juice. I would say that it is entirely possible that they just swapped out the cider with straight apple juice when it starts. It gets very, very sweet right in the middle - almost as sweet as sugar water (pick your favorite cola). Then the finish starts with a wave of carbonation and a fairly rapid switch to a tart taste. It then fades into a second carbonation hit and an even more sharp turn into tart. Sweet remains on the lips while tart stays on the tongue.
It's actually a really good cider. I can, in retrospect, definitely tell the difference between the cider and apple juice. The alcohol is pretty well hidden, if that's what you're looking for, and sometimes I am. It's not as good as the Mike's I had before, but it is pretty damn good.
