Being out of Vermont brews, I decided to go with something from my adopted home. So I'm going with this one. I mean - what could be more Southern than something with "Southern" right in the name?
Turns out, pretty much anything can be more Southern. This one is brewed in New York.
Disappointing? Maybe. Delicious? Surprisingly, yes.
It's got that secret of blending enough hops and malts together to have them mellow each other out, but it still has lots of flavor. The taste is a bit confused as a result of the myriad flavors, but it's not overwhelming.
It is only a little surprising that it's good, but I can't deny that it is. Fortunately, I have a whole six pack to enjoy - AND it's a weekend.
