We are on the down slide for these beverages. The straight lemonade wasn't great, but it wasn't the worst lemonade. The follow-up pink lemonade stood a chance at being better, but it failed. Now, I'm looking at the blueberry lemonade. I didn't even know that blueberry lemonade was a thing. I suppose I probably should have, as people will add whatever flavors they think they can to eliminate the taste of alcohol in their lemonade, despite the fact that it probably isn't going to work. The mango is coming up next, and that is going to be a disaster, but maybe blueberry and lemonade is a special thing that brings out bunnies and rainbows.
Unsurprisingly, it looks like lemonade. However, it smells like both lemonade and blueberries. This may not come as a shock to most of you, but I was really surprised at just how blueberry it smells while still managing to smell like lemonade. I had a blueberry muffin this morning, and the distinct taste of blueberries is still in my recent memory as a result, and this smell immediately reminded me of that taste. This is a good sign, as it means the blueberry likely isn't going to be that artificial blueberry taste, as it smells just as natural as the real blueberries I had.
First sip is relatively bland, but it is certainly inoffensive. The blueberry is doing something to give the flavor a little bit of a nudge, and the lemonade was already pretty drinkable. If I had just come in from some yard work, I could see downing one of these things and enjoying it quite a bit, based on the sip. In fact, I may save one of these for when I do mow the lawn next, as I'm going to need a beverage to cool down with. However, I don't know what I'm going to run into whenever I do a proper gulp, so we need to find that out.
Tip-in is rather bland, weak lemonade that reminds me of something like a seltzer that has had lemon added to it. It's like looking at a work of art through a telescope. The middle gets a little more flavor, but it is still rather dull and watery through the center of the mouth, and it's neither sweet nor tart, as there just isn't much there. The finish brings both sweetness and tartness that was missing so far in the beverage, and it makes the beverage end in a fairly nice flavor.
