The day after Thanksgiving is, unofficially, Pie for Breakfast Day. So, why not switch up that pumpkin pie to a pumpkin pie-style cream? I mean, you can't put Bailey's in your coffee, if you don't like coffee, and I've never tried it in my hot chocolate... is that a thing? Should I make it a thing? Either way, this is pie, but it's in cream form, so I think it adheres to the spirit of the law.
Seems like I'm at the point where I should just say these creams look like weak chocolate milk. Anything that is an outlier I may comment on, but these are all a light muddy brown color. Also, they all act like cream when you swish them around, and that appears to be - primarily - because they are made of cream. The aroma is definite creamy pumpkin. I'm not sure I know what pumpkin spice tastes like, but I bet this is the smell for it.
First sip is quite nice. I don't know much about mixed drinks, and I assume this is intended to make those. Now, it's entirely possible you can add this to coffee to make an Irish coffee with pumpkin spice, but I don't like coffee, and I'm not likely to do that on... any day, really. So, I don't really understand how this would fit into my life - even with as nice, creamy, and pumpkin as it is. Maybe I could have a drink of this after a big meal and pretend that every day is Thanksgiving.
I don't know why this is 12.5% ABV instead of the more common 13%. I don't taste much of the alcohol, but maybe I would, if they had bumped it up that half a percent. Either way, this is fine, but the niche that it tries to fill seems very... small. Like I said, if this is intended for the day drinking crowd to try in their coffee before finishing off the afternoon with White Claws, I'm probably not the target.
