Unsurprisingly, this is hazy. The picture that you see isn't quite as hazy as it could be, as I stopped pouring when the really dark detritus from the bottom of the can was just starting to enter the glass. There isn't a whole lot of head, but what is here will stick around for the duration of the drink. Will it leave lacing? Only time will tell. The aroma is citrus fruits right up front with tropical fruits helping out. The orange and tangerine really seem to be vocal and quite tart, and it is making my mouth water just sniffing. I am looking forward to a good beer.
First sip is, indeed, a good beer. In fact, I would go so far as to say this is pretty great. It may even tip the scale into excellent. It is smooth as all get-out, and it has enough fruit to really get the taste buds rolling at the beginning of the sip and go all the way to the end. The sweetness of the fruits is noteworthy, as I assumed this was going to be a little tart based on the smell. Instead, there is tartness that seems to settle in after the sip is completely gone from the mouth. Is that a good sensation? Well, I'm not going to kick it out of my glass for eating crackers. There probably needs to be a better version of that phrase for beers, or maybe it could get updated for 2025 and the toxic masculinity can be removed from it in some way.
Tip-in is minimal carbonation, light fruit skins, and some tartness. The middle is amazingly, impressively smooth with orange, tangerine, grapefruit, mango, and even nectarine jumping in and creating a delicious mix that is tempered by a well-restrained malt. The finish is a subtle increase of tartness and bitterness as the fruit meat dies down, but somehow sweetness manages to continue to tamp down the bitter wave.
