The peanut butter cup version of the Moonshake was quite enjoyable. I don't know if this is another case of a sub-brand where Midnight Moon will make all of their creams fall under that umbrella or something. Either way, I'm disinclined to create yet another label for another seldom-used pseudo-brand. I'm not here to faff about with labels - I'm here to drink some hard cream and tell you what I think about it.
Maybe I should get rid of this whole paragraph where I talk about the presentation of the beverage. The whiskeys basically all look the same, the creams are all... cream-looking, and the stouts are all some shade of black (except for the white stouts, and they can all burn in hell). The aroma is really the only thing I have to offer here, and it smells like mild vanilla with a bunch of moonshine. But the previous version was able to overcome the astringent nature of the alcohol.
First sip is tremendous. The alcohol is hidden beneath the sweet (but not overly sweet) vanilla cream. I think I kind of expected more of a vanilla Carnation Instant Breakfast, but this is thinner, less sweet, and more drinkable. I think I might go so far as to say that it is dangerously drinkable. I don't know what would happen to me if I completed this entire jar tonight, but the taste is making me want to try.
