The mango was not good, but it was an improvement over the black cherry. So, will cranberry be able to pull this out? I mean, does anyone really like the flavor of cranberries? There are very few times when I can imagine someone taking a sip of something and then thinking about it, leaning in, and uttering the phrase, "This could use more cranberries." But, cranberries is what we have to work with right now. Let's do this thing.
Surprisingly, the beverage is actually a little bit lighter than the color on the can. I don't know if this is a slip up by their marketing department, or if there chemists aren't capable of simulating the color from the can adequately. Either way, it's a different color, and I don't know how to interpret that. Cranberries don't really have that much of an aroma, and neither does this beverage. If anything, it smells like a slightly berry-flavored lemonade. Really, that's all I'm looking for in this, and if that's what they can give me, I will count this all is a win.
First sip isn't terrible, and I think that's the result of so little cranberry having actually been added to this beverage. As a result, it does give a vaguely fruit punch taste to lemonade. Once again, though, the lemonade has been sweetened way too much. I can only imagine that they're doing this just to cover the taste of the alcohol, but they need to figure something else out. This is just not the way you should be producing a beverage.
Tip-in is slight cranberry under overly sweetened lemonade. Carbonation begins buzzing as sweetness of the lemonade remains and that the flavors all regress significantly. The middle of the beverage is somewhat watery while still being overly sweet. The finish has a little more carbonation with more cranberry added to the lemonade before lemons and sweetness take off for the trail off.
Bottom Line: Honestly, one of the better ones in this pack. That doesn't make it great.
