Jackalope, what's up? You've managed to hit the bad category twice, but these big swings aren't managing to hit anything out of the park. While you are graphing like a company that is mostly average, you skew low, as you can't seem to nail it just right. Let's look at an IPA to pull you out of this and get you a perfect 5.
The hazy orange beer has a sticky head that is leaving quite a bit of lacing in its wake. The off white bubbles coalesce into a large island that eventually clumps along one side of the glass and leaves a bit of naked beer on the other side. The aroma is somewhat faint, but it has gentle tropical and citrus fruits awaiting my taste buds.First sip is shockingly smooth for a beer with this many fruits before the bitterness eventually triumphs with rinds holding it aloft. But the smoothness was definitely there - I can almost still taste it. I would ordinarily scoff at the sip as it was clearly very imbalanced, but the smooth beginning of the beer tells me that more is going on, and I need to tease this out. If only I had a process... I DO!
Tip-in is light (but rising) carbonation sizzle with peach, mango, and starfruit rinds queued up for the tasting. The middle presents more carbonation to the back of the throat while the smoothness from the sip sloshes in with nary a citrus in sight - everything is coming up tropical. The finish is a slow move to bitterness and rinds.
Bottom Line: Stylish and enjoyable.
