So far, this brewery has been pretty scattershot. The problem with that is that they haven't hit anything that was truly an excellent beer yet. What I'm trying to say is that they're due. Candidly, I was debating whether or not I even wanted to have a beer tonight, but it has been a long day, and a beer seems like it would be the best solution to the day so far. A nice, simple blonde ale should ease my troubles.
The mostly clear, golden beverage produces a moderate head that dissipates to a smooth smear of minuscule bubbles that nearly completely covers the top of the beer with a strong ring around the sides of the glass. It's unclear if I'm going to be getting any lacing, however. I wouldn't be entirely disappointed if I didn't, as I just don't expect much from a blonde ale. Honey and coriander with light flowers seem to greet my nostrils whenever I take a whiff, and I'm looking forward to it more than I expected.First sip is crisper than usual with grass mixed in with honey and citrus that is more muddled than straight coriander smelled like. I wasn't even sure I was in the mood for a beer when I started this review, but the aroma got me enticed, and the taste his reaffirmed why beer is my go-to beverage. It is quite pleasing to say the least, and I'm already feeling like I want to stop writing the review and just sit down and drink more beer.
Tip-in is moderate carbonation burn with honey and coriander settling on the tongue. The middle sends a fiery carbonation to the roof of the mouth while grass joins the other flavors in a subtle way lower - toward the tongue. The finish is a bit dry and less crisp than the taste led me to believe as a bitter spark moves in with a dryness to somewhat spoil what was otherwise a very enjoyable beverage.
Bottom line: On the whole, she's a pretty good one.
