THAT is a lot of descriptor for the beer. I found that there were many breweries that either add something like "Hazy" to a beer that isn't unusually hazy or even "Juicy" to a beer that is kind of dry. These guys are really pushing the limit of descriptors. I suppose there are a few that they didn't use, but they are really doing the beer shelf equivalent of Search Engine Optimization.
First sip is fresh and strangely smooth. It has a little dank to it that is really smoothing out the otherwise relatively harsh citrus and tropical fruits. As a result, it somehow manages to be relaxed and bold at the same time. It's a tricky thing to manage, but that's what appears to be coming across in a sip. I think the dank might actually be more of a funk, and it seems to linger a bit too long. Let's see how it manages with a full gulp.
Tip-in is mild carbonation tingle with mango, tangerine, orange, and grapefruit sweetly filling up the mouth. The middle is as smooth as it can get with the fruit juices mingling nicely with the sweetness of the bread malt. The finish is a wave of bitterness with that funk coming along for the ride as fruit spritz joins the trail off.
Bottom Line: A fantastic beer.
