It's really hard to see what the name of this beer is on the label. Based on the Garbage Pail Kid-like characters on the front, I assumed that some of the words mixed in there included fear. It does not. Even though this is Halloween-themed, this appears to have absolutely nothing to do with Halloween. Instead, it has something to do with bears and pears, but there is nothing easily recognizable as an actual bear in the tableau. Also, no one is dressed as a pear.
There is almost no head that starts off on this beer, and it scurries away incredibly quickly. The rapidity with which the foam dissipates reminds me of a hard soda or something similar. The copper beer is murky at its depths, but it lacks any significantly sized bits that I might expect in a beer like this. The aroma is sour funk with spices and fruit creating a very aggressive presentation. Incidentally, I don't like sour beers. The beer is gobsmackingly sour. I'm not sure there are other flavors in their other than pure sourness. My face violently and involuntarily contorted at the amount of sourness that has been imbued into this beer. As I said, I do not like sour beers, and this beer is a prime example of what I don't like. I'm not going to bother with the rest of this review, and I'm not going to bother with the rest of this beer. Everyone have a good night.
Bottom Line: Sour.
