What I'm looking at here is potentially the best of these BBQ sauces from New Belgium. It is advertised with medium heat, and it is based on a dark ale that may avoid the unnaturally sweetness that remains on the lips and palate enduringly after the meal is over with. The problem with the other two was that they devolved into a cloying taste that was a little off and would not leave after an initial satisfaction with the flavors.
Wings. They smell good, and they look good.First bite is very good. It is a subtle, relaxed sauce that is pretty self-evidently based on beer, but it is deep and rich with spices and grilled grains. I made these in an air fryer, and it tastes like these were made on a grill; that is all coming from the sauce. A tanginess mixes with a mild sweetness, and this appears to lack the cloying, durable sweetness that the others succumbed to.
While no time has elapsed for you, I managed to eat the plate of chicken. It is BY FAR better than the others in the series. It says that this is medium heat, but it really didn't feel like it was bringing anything to the party at all in terms of spice. It is both bold and relaxed, and it doesn't have that feeling of hanging on for too long.
Bottom Line: This is the one to go for.
