Only three beers into DuClaw, and they have an impressive record. All three have been 3.5 or higher, and that's no easy feat. It is with this optimism that I grab this beer that features lemons in some way or fashion. Maybe it's just a particularly lemon hop, and that might be fun! Impress me, guys!
First sip is sour. It's tart and sour, but it's sour, and that's bad. It's watery enough that I can probably soldier through the rest of the review, but there's a difference between tart and sour, and this one went to the dark side. Lemons and grains sit under there, but they aren't able to overcome the horror of sour.
Tip-in is sour and lemons. The middle becomes also sour and lemons. The finish is a bit sour and some lemons.
Bottom Line: Bad.
