Is definitely not as brown as the regular Baileys is, and it skews decidedly pink. When you look at the back of the bottle, it very explicitly says that it contains certified color. I assume that means this is the exact color that some Irishman decided it should be. The aroma is vaguely like strawberry milk, but the alcohol heaviness is definitely coming through pretty strongly in this one. At 17% ABV, it matches the original Irish cream, so I expect the alcohol to be pronounced and yet sublime just like that one.
First sip is quite nice. Much like all of these creams, it is very sweet, so I'm not sure that you could really drink this as anything other than a dessert after a meal. The taste is directly in line with life savers cream savers - specifically the strawberries and cream flavor. It wasn't until this very second that I was made aware that they appear to have stopped making that particular candy. Nevertheless, that's what it tastes like, and if you've never had them in candy form, you've missed out on something.
Tip-in is alcohol bite with strawberry smoothie evening things out right off the bat. The middle allows the alcohol to sting at the back of the throat as the cream rises up to mingle with the strawberries in a delightful little dance. The alcohol all the dissipates by the time the end comes around, and a little bit of chocolate seems to seep in to make the strawberries and cream even more smooth than they were in the center.
Bottom Line: It might not be as good as it sibling, but it's pretty darn good.
