First sip is shockingly dry. I expected this to be very watery (I mean, what's more crushable than water?) but it is going very much the other direction. If you want a beer that you can suck back a dozen of, you normally dial back the flavor, and flavor is definitely what this is about. I'm not saying I particularly like the flavor, but it isn't letting the taste buds get a rest. It's flowers and flour on top of pine with hints of grapefruit and oranges underneath, but they are only hints, and these are not the hops I'm looking for right now.
Tip-in is light carbonation tingle with pine and flowers dancing on the peels of grapefruits, and the tartness and bitterness both come through unabated. The middle slides into an abrasive, dry, and bitter pine and flower mix while it drops all pretense of bringing citrus to the game. The finish is dry as a desert with bitterness and tart dust trailing off into disappointment.
Bottom Line: Not crushable, and that was purportedly its goal.
