The brassy, hazy beer generates a nice, thick head of fluff that takes a good long while to dissipate. The aroma manages to get through the foam and brings delightful wheatgrass, nondescript fruits, and bread. It's a really nice presentation, and I am diving in.
First sip is somewhat crisp. I say somewhat because it gives the impression of crispness, but the trail off is a bit too floral and musty for it to actually be crisp. Is it possible to just have a first half of a beer that is crisp? If so, that's what we're looking at here.
Tip-in is very light carbonation tingle with caramel and flowers mixed with wheatgrass. The middle hits the back of the throat hard with more carbonation and acid than there had been previously while the flowers are joined by pine that may have some fruits around the edge, but the needles are prickly. The finish is a must that rises with bitterness before trailing off with flowers.
Bottom Line: It's fine. Not the best or worst, and I'm probably not going to remember it.
