The beer is very much similar to the previous two. The orange juice and grapefruit juice mix is thick and impermeable to light with a orange-gold cast sitting underneath bubbles that appear a little bit less like pulp and leave a little more regular lacing then the previous two attempts. The aroma is much more muted than the previous two beers, as well. Orange and grapefruit are at the front, and star fruit and heavier grains are bringing up the rear.
First sip is very good. The beer has a simple, straightforward combination of fruit spritz's that are underneath a bit of a heavier grain. All told, it is smooth and crisp at the same time. This is a difficult trick for even older breweries to get right, but if the sip is to be believed, these guys appear to have done it. The sip is impressive. What might the gulp bring?
Tip-in is tart tangerine and grapefruit with carbonation twinkling all around the mouth. The middle traipses in with an incredibly mild fruit cocktail of orange, tangerine, grapefruit, and star fruit with a grain that is strangely a little sweet. When the finish comes, it brings a little bit of bitterness with some tartness before trailing off light and somewhat sweet grapefruit.
Bottom Line: No question that this is the best beer from these guys I've had so far.
