The exceedingly hazy beer is deep orange in color, and it doesn't want to release a whole lot of carbonation upon pouring. Once the little bit that is in this picture dissipates, nothing replaces it. There is a tiny, almost imperceptible group of bubbles on the top, but it looks like it's still naked. The aroma is sweet and tart citrus and tropical fruits with tangerine, orange, and grapefruit all nestled together.First sip is juicy and crisp. Somehow, it's also dry. The juices are there, and they are very well mixed together, but the overall beer is dry and a little musty. I'm not saying it's bad, but it's a mixture I haven't encountered often, and I don't know how this is going to translate from a sip. Fact is, I could probably sip this and give it a 3.0/5, but I have to swig it if I want to review this properly.
Tip-in is very light carbonation tingle with orange and tangerine at the front and their juice sweetness in tow. The middle spreads out into a carbonation burn across the mouth that is unjustified by the amount of carbonation that I have experienced so far, and the juices continue to flow with a tartness peaking toward the center. The finish is very nice - it's dry, but the fruit leaves a little sweet-tart treat in the tangerine and nectarine before trailing off.
This review took me so long to do over this night that the beer got a little warmth in it, and it has definitely gotten nothing but better.
Bottom Line: A good beer that keeps getting better.
3.5/5
