The big, friendly bubbles are filled with air and joy. They aren't too much for the beer, but they certainly let me know that the beer has carbonation going on. They are ultimately ephemeral, though, and they leave nothing but a bare top to the beer within a few minutes; points of nucleation stream bubbles to the top to let me know that the beer is not flat. The aroma is all kinds of funky yeast backed by grains.First sip is funk and sour. I think there used to be a set of encyclopedias by that name. There is definite wheat backing everything, but the thick, funky yeast is joined by a pall of sour that isn't as terrible as a gose, but it's unwelcome. It is my sincere wish that this beer not get worse, but the sip isn't something I'd go back to. The gulp shall bring out the essence of the beer.
Tip-in is heavy sour with a light funk that I'm already missing under the onerous life of sour that has entered the frame. The middle is a surge of grains that is a welcome respite, and the funky yeast is barely noticeable. The finish is where the sour comes on strong and overpowers anything good in the beer.
Bottom Line: Nope. Nope. Nope.
