My traditional first sip is actually pretty simple. It's sweeter than the average pilsner, but it has the same grainy malt that I smelled. It's not bad; as a sip, it's very clean and certainly easy on the mouth. I am actually reminded of the recent All Day IPA with respect to its drinkability.
Tip-in is mild to the point of being watery. It has more carbonation than I would have expected with that quickly retreating head, and the carbonation almost overwhelms the malt. The middle saunters in with a upswing of sweetness and a more pronounced malt. It's a little citrus in there with the malt, but the malt is most of the taste - what there is of it. The hope is in the finish, and it gives a wave of sweet before packing on more malt. The finish has the most flavor of all the parts of this drink, but it's just very, very mild as an overall beer.
Bottom Line: I think it's a decent beer, but it's not really anything to write home about.
