First sip is very, very smooth. It has a dried flowers kind of taint around the outsides, but the overall impression of the beer is that it is possibly a bit too mild. A second sip to confirm this taste actually reveals pine as one of the overall tastes. I don't remember that from the first sip, but that's why we drink the whole bottle, isn't it? In order to speed things along, let's just drink like a man - in gulp form.
Tip-in is the pine that does not overwhelm, and the carbonation bite is only slight. The middle appears to be why this is an "all day" beer. It sloshes down the gullet with the single-threaded thought of making sober people drunk all day long. The finish is a lot stronger. It's like the beer saved the flavor for the end. It smacks the tastebuds with that pine bitterness, but then it evens out as the finish fades. Overall, it is a good beer, and it is definitely drinkable.
Bottom Line: I could drink it all day and not grow tired of its simple and smooth character.
