A simple sip reveals a gentle beer that ends with a dramatically hoppy bitter end. The end of the beer is surprising because there is so little going on for the rest of the experience. I really thought that this was going to be a watery disappointment at first, but the end was an eye opener that this beer might be more complex and interesting than it first let on.
A proper drink brings a tip-in of biting carbonation and a light floral hops. There's an interesting malt lingering just at the edge of taste, as well. The middle is mild and smooth, just as the name implies. It features a malt that is spongy and velvety, and it's especially nice. Then the finish brings another wave of carbonation with a harder-hitting hops and the accompanying bitterness. It's not as biting as the sip was - the malt has eased that particular side-effect very well. I'm enjoying this beer, and I'm glad I got a whole six pack of it.
