Remember when breaking the fourth wall was an unusual and compelling method of storytelling? Well, if you want it to become a trite and ineffective way of getting character insights across, you add it to a near constant voiceover and you have more than one character do it. This makes the viewers feel like they are being pandered to and removes all personal involvement in the story.
Amber Heard is beautiful. Welcome to the only positive point of the movie. She got her dad a cameo and he was innocuous. She was able to do this because she was one of the 12 producers. How could this movie have 12 people look at the script and think, "Yes. I want to put money behind this movie"? Well, Amber tried, I guess. She failed. Sorry.
Shiloh Fernandez is supposed to be the main character. Everyone in this movie has legally given themselves an odd name to try and "brand themselves." And this guy (who we never see listening to jazz) named himself Scat. He is annoying and full of himself, and that's just the actor. The character is even worse. Shiloh Fernandez should not be permitted to act in another movie again. It is not his calling - maybe he can make a living as a gigolo.
Oh, and Amber has the odd name of "Six." Shiloh comments about how brilliant it is because it is so close to "Sex" and THAT is how you sell a personal brand! I guess the writers never saw Ultraviolet with the small boy named Six because he was the sixth clone attempt.
