First sip is hoppy, but it's not overpowering. It's those same floral hops are cut with malt and a very slight fruitiness to make a sip that isn't all that bad, but it's also not all that memorable. I expect an IPA to really hit you with the hops, and that should be especially true of the country that originated the style, but this one is really, really mild. I might have just called this a pale ale from the taste alone.
For the big draught, the tip-in is that same light floral taste as before. The middle has a heavier floral taste with a little bread from the malt mixed in. Then, the finish starts and intensifies the floral taste slightly more before fading to an off-putting floral taste. That last taste reminds me of the Magic Hat Pistil beer. That sucked, and so does the finish. It's odd, because the rest of the beer is not terrible, and it's still barely memorable, but that's not a nice finish.
All told, this beer seems to have put a lot of effort into making a beer that is below average. I wish it wasn't so.
