First sip has an unexpected sweetness to it. There are definitely hops, but the malt is heavy enough to cover it pretty solidly. It has a heavy floral presence through the whole thing, but that sweet cover is really nice.

Tip-in is hops. This is really unusual for the IPAs I've had. They normally hit hops in the middle and ride the rest of the way, with something like raspberries or malt as the tip-in. Often, they are downright watery in the tip-in. Middle is a bit bitter with a good amount of carbonation around the sides of the mouth. As the finish starts up, the floral taste asserts itself with the malt evening things out very well.
This is a very good, very well balanced beer. I would gladly drink four or five of these, but I will limit myself.
