First sip is a strong one. The hops come out right off the bat to let you know that they aren't here to play around. IPAs are serious business, and this one is all about the business of being all hopped up on hops. The bitterness hits up front, but it's handled well before the beverage ends. It even leaves a sweetness on the lips afterward. I can only imagine that a big gulp is going to be impressive.
No need to wait - <gulp>.
Tip-in is more mild than it was in a sip. Then, the middle hits with all those delicious hops and a good helping of malt. The bite can be felt more than tasted at the back of the throat. Then, as the finish starts, the bitterness swells to cover the entire tongue. From there, a bit of caramel comes on, and that sweetness hits the tip of the tongue and the lips.
