First sip, and it's... a lager. I know, it's not surprising to find that, but it's very much a lager. It's like someone took a dozen lager recipes, averaged them out, and then made this beer. It's not a bad beer, but it lacks pretty much any personal character. Nothing makes it stand out. It's pretty much malt with a tiny bit of lemon and little else. It's crisp... does that help?
Taking a bigger draught, the tip-in is crisp and lemony, but it fades into a watery mess pretty quickly. The malt hits, but it is accompanied by a tin bitterness that really messes up the taste. The carbonation and possibly a bit of hops bites at the tongue for the finish. It's not a great beer.
The beer is not the best. I wonder if all Hawaiian beer is this unfortunate.
